Fire officials shut down the Staunton Applebee’s after several people became sick. The incident happened around 7 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

Medical crews cared for at least seven people–all were Applebee’s employees. They complained of dizziness, headaches and feeling nauseated–symptoms similar to carbon monoxide poisoning.

Fire crews tested the kitchen and dining area for the gas and closed the restaurant.
